As we celebrate Savannah Miller’s next chapter, we reflect with gratitude on the leadership, heart, and lasting impact she has brought to Girls on the Run Memphis. While we will miss her dearly, we also look ahead with hope and optimism as we begin the search for our next Program Manager.

While my time as Program Manager for GOTR Memphis may be coming to a close, I am so excited for the next chapter and seeing how this organization continues to impact and inspire girls across my second home. This Fall, I will be pursuing a graduate degree with Yale University, but I will carry the lessons I have learned through Girls on the Run with me for a lifetime.

Now Recruiting: Join the Girls on the Run Memphis Board of Directors!

Do you believe every girl deserves the confidence, connection, and tools to thrive? Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back while putting your lived experiences and professional skills to good use? Girls on the Run Memphis is excited to announce we’re recruiting 4–6 new individuals to join our Board of Directors! 

I entered 2025 with a New Year's Resolution--myfirst one in years. The goal? Run myfirst ever half-marathon, and use the Girls on the Run SMART goals method to do so. Read on to hear about how I tackled this dream with the help of some awesome community partners and champions.

We’ve been completely blown away by the energy our girls have for giving back to this program and their community, helping us make sure no girl gets turned away from GOTR for an inability to pay through Unstoppable Us fundraising. Now, we want to take a moment to shout out all the girls who raised money for the Scholarship Fund and the sites that hosted them!

At Girls on the Run, there are so many ways for the whole Memphis community to get involved–but the fan favorite is definitely helping with the culmination of all our girls’ hard work at the end of season 5K! The girls really put their all into the event, and there are so many fun ways to engage on this special day. Read on to learn more.
