Introducing Kristen Tolbert, Our New Program Manager!

Hi Everyone --

My name is Kristen Tolbert and I am beyond excited to step into the role as Program Manager for GOTR Memphis! A recent spring 2026 graduate from the University of Memphis, I majored in Communications and Media Studies with a minor in Public Relations. I am a charter member of the Theta Psi chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business fraternity, incorporated. During my time at U of M, I served in numerous leadership positions and accumulated over 270+ community service hours.

I was born and raised in North Memphis and had the opportunity there to participate in after school programs, such as those through the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Memphis. Seeing the lack of resources in my neighborhood fueled my passion for community service, especially for young women and girls. The women who've mentored me and the girls I've had the opportunity to work with have shaped me into the woman I am today

After graduating, I wanted a job that allowed me to continue to serve women and girls in the city of Memphis and give back to the community. GOTR Memphis is one of the most impactful organizations in the city of Memphis, and when the opportunity to join the team presented itself, I took it with no hesitation. I look forward to supporting our girls, leaning more into my new role and contributing to the coming-of-age experience for young girls that builds their self-worth, confidence, and health.

Thank you for welcoming me into the GOTR community!
